The minimum age required for SSC CAPFs SI 2026 is 20 years and the maximum age is 25 years, generally calculated as on 01 August 2026. Candidates must ensure that their date of birth falls within the prescribed range mentioned in the official notification.

SSC CAPFs SI Educational Qualification 2026
Educational qualification is a mandatory requirement under the SSC CAPFs SI Eligibility Criteria 2026. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification as on the cut-off date. Final-year students may apply, provided they can produce proof of passing the degree examination before the specified deadline.
For the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police (male candidates only), a valid Driving License for LMV (motorcycle and car) is compulsory at the time of the Physical Endurance & Standard Test (PE&ST). Candidates without a valid license will not be permitted to participate in the physical tests for Delhi Police SI.
Failure to produce required educational documents during verification will result in cancellation of candidature.

SSC CAPFs SI Physical Standards Test (PST) 2026
Candidates who qualify in Paper I will be called for the Physical Standard Test. The physical standards are different for male and female candidates.
For male candidates (General category), the minimum height required is 170 cm, and chest measurement must be 80 cm (unexpanded) with 5 cm expansion. For female candidates (General category), the minimum height required is 157 cm, and chest measurement is not applicable.
Relaxations in height and chest measurements are available for Scheduled Tribes and candidates belonging to hill areas, Northeastern states, and other specified regions, as detailed in the official notification. Weight must be proportionate to height as per medical standards.

SSC CAPFs SI Physical Endurance Test (PET) 2026
The Physical Endurance Test evaluates speed, stamina, and strength. The following events are conducted:

Ex-servicemen are exempted from PET but must meet prescribed physical standards. Pregnant female candidates will not be allowed to participate in PET.

SSC CAPFs SI Medical Standards 2026
Candidates who clear PET/PST must undergo a Detailed Medical Examination. The medical standards require candidates to be in excellent physical and mental health.
The vision requirement includes 6/6 in the better eye and 6/9 in the worse eye without correction (without glasses). Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, squint, or color blindness. Any medical condition not meeting prescribed standards may lead to disqualification.
All original medical and eligibility documents must be produced at the time of verification.
