The Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC CAPFs SI (CPO) Examination to recruit Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). The SSC CAPFs SI 2026 exam follows a 4-stage selection process:

1. Paper 1 (Computer-Based Test)

2. Physical Standards Test (PST) / Physical Endurance Test (PET)

SSC CAPFs SI 2026 Exam Pattern (CPO)

Paper 1 – Computer Based Test (CBT)

• Total Questions: 200

• Total Marks: 200

• Duration: 2 Hours

• Sectional Timing: 30 minutes per section

• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer

Section-wise Distribution

Each question carries 1 mark.

Since sectional timing is applicable, practice each subject within 30 minutes to improve accuracy and speed.

Paper 2 – English Language & Comprehension

• Total Questions: 200

• Total Marks: 200

• Duration: 2 Hours

• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

Paper 2 focuses entirely on English language proficiency and comprehension skills.

Physical Standards Test (PST)

Height Requirements

Male Candidates

• 170 cm (General)

• 165 cm (Hill areas / tribes)

Female Candidates

• 157 cm (General)

• 155 cm (Hill areas / tribes)

Chest (Male Only)

• 80 cm (Unexpanded)

• 85 cm (Expanded)

Relaxations are applicable as per SSC rules.

Check your height and chest measurements before applying to avoid disqualification.

Physical Endurance Test (PET)

Male Candidates

• 100m race in 16 seconds

• 1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes

• Long Jump: 3.65m (3 chances)

• High Jump: 1.2m (3 chances)

• Shot Put (16 lbs): 4.5m (3 chances)

Female Candidates

• 100m race in 18 seconds

• 800m race in 4 minutes

• Long Jump: 2.7m (3 chances)

• High Jump: 0.9m (3 chances)

Begin endurance and sprint training at least 4–5 months before PET.

Medical Examination

Candidates must be physically and mentally fit.

Eyesight Requirements

• Distant Vision: 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye), uncorrected

• No glasses allowed

• No knock knees, flat foot, varicose vein, or squint

Medical fitness is mandatory for final selection.

Get a pre-medical fitness check done before appearing for DME.

SSC CAPFs SI 2026 Selection Procedure

The selection process follows:

1. Paper 1 (CBT)

2. PST/PET (Qualifying)

3. Paper 2 (English)

4. Medical Examination

5. Document Verification

Final merit is based only on combined marks of Paper 1 and Paper 2. PST/PET and Medical tests are qualifying in nature.

Focus on scoring high in both written papers since physical tests do not carry marks.
