The Staff Selection Commission has now enlightened the official SSC CHSL Syllabus 2025 for both Objective and Descriptive Papers. The SSC CHSLE will consist of a computer-based written examination (Tier-I), a descriptive paper (Tier-II), and a typing /skill test (Tier-III) examination for the posts of data entry operator, postal assistant & sorting assistant (PA/SA), lower division clerk, and court clerk. SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam Pattern 2025

Tier-I is an online computer-based written examination consisting of objective-type multiple-choice questions only. It is a first-stage exam for those who have submitted their application form successfully for the SSC CHSL 2025 Exam and are eligible for Tier I. The scheme of the Tier 1 exam is as follows:

Note: The English language part will consist only of basic knowledge of English. The quantitative aptitude part will consist only of basic arithmetic skills.

The SSC CHSL Exam Pattern for 2025 includes Tier 2.

The Tier-II Exam is a descriptive paper conducted in computer-based mode. It tests your writing skills. Marks obtained in Tier-II are considered for the preparation of the final merit list. This paper is in Hindi or English to judge the writing skills of candidates. The question in this paper will be based on the SSC CHSL Tier 2 Syllabus 2025. The scheme of the Tier II exam is as follows:

  • This descriptive paper contains an essay of around 200-250 words.
  • An essay/application/letter of around 150-200 words.
  • It is written in only Hindi or English. Only Hindi or English can be chosen.
  • Duration is one hour.
  • The total mark for this paper is 100.
  • The whole paper is divided into only two parts.
  • One part is essay writing, and the second part is application/letter writing.
  • The minimum qualifying mark for this paper is 33% of it.
  • This paper level is based on Higher Secondary 12th class std.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern Tier 3

The SSC 10+2 2025 Tier 3 Examination is the Skill Test/Typing Test, which would be of only a qualifying nature. Only those candidates who secured at least the minimum qualifying marks in the computer-based written examination (Tier-I) and Descriptive Paper (Tier-II), as may be fixed by the Commission, only will be called for this stage. The skill test will be held at the Commission’s Regional Offices or other centers as may be decided. The final merit of candidates is determined based on their performance in Tier-I and Tier-II examinations.

The SSC CHSL Syllabus for 2025 includes the Skill Test for the Data Entry Operator position.

Data Entry Speed:—

  1. 8,000 key depressions per hour on the computer.
  2. For the position of Data Entry Operator in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG), candidates must achieve a speed of at least 15,000 key depressions per hour for data entry work, which will be verified through a computer-based speed test.

Note:-

  • The Data Entry Speed Skill Test is only of a qualifying nature. Candidates are allowed to take this test only on a computer.
  • Only those candidates who have qualified in the Tier 1 Computer-Based Exam and the Descriptive Paper Tier 2 Exam will be allowed to appear in the SSC CHSL Syllabus 2025 skill test paper.
  • The skill test will be conducted at the commission’s regional office center or at the exam center designated by the commission.

The SSC CHSL Syllabus 2025 includes a Typing Test for the positions of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant and LDC/JSA.

Typing Speed: 30 words per Minute (Hindi Medium) 9000 key depressions per hour.

Note:-

  • Typing tests will be conducted for only those candidates who qualify in the computer-based written examination (Tier-I) and descriptive paper (Tier-II).
  • This typing test will be conducted in English or Hindi, which is to indicate his/her choice/option for medium in the application form. It will also be of a qualifying nature.
  • If any candidate does not opt for any medium of typing test, his/her option will be considered the English medium.

The SSC 10+2 Syllabus 2025 for the Tier-III Examination is the Skill Test/Typing Test, which would be of only a qualifying nature. What Is the SSC CHSL 2025 selection procedure?

The Staff Selection Commission is now conducting the 10 Plus 2 exam soon for all eligible candidates only after discussing the SSC CHSL Syllabus 2025 Tiers 1, 2, and 3. The candidates must be aware of the selection procedure prescribed for the exam before appearing. The candidates will be selected to go through the stage-wise stage exam procedure as follows.

  • Candidates will be called to appear in the Tier 1 Exam for those who applied online using the application form successfully.
